These eight young men keep alive a centuries-old, annual and somewhat mysterious tradition: the Easter customs in Ootmarsum. This includes fetching wood in the traditional way with horse and cart, the procession and the Vlöggeln through the historic city center of Ootmarsum. In doing so, they form a monument in local history. It is therefore a great honor for us as Stokerij Sculte to commit ourselves to this wonderful tradition. We do this by releasing a special Twente Whisky Easter Ember exclusively at Easter, and in a limited edition at that. This whisky is distilled from a one-time recipe and matured in Twente oak. Character On the nose you'll find the aroma of fresh earl grey, followed by a subtle smokiness. The palate blends vanilla with sandalwood and earl grey. The finish is a hint of honey drops ending with a Sultana raisin and a touch of smokiness.
