Character: This special jubilee edition of our Sculte Twentse Whisky has been bottled to celebrate 20 years of our distillery and 10 years of our beloved whisky. This double milestone calls for a whisky that is just as exceptional as the occasion itself. The whisky comes packaged in a beautiful box, where the bottle is carefully nestled. The bottle is sealed with a wafer-thin piece of Twentse oak wood, the same wood on which our whisky matures and from which it develops its characteristic flavour. This oak, sourced from the region where our distillery is located, gives the whisky its unique, robust and refined aromas. In the nose, a interplay of sweet notes, patchouli and new leather comes alive, intertwined with a hint of smoke. This is autumn in a glass. The palate continues this feeling with notes of roasted coffee beans and dark chocolate, while the finish begins with sweet black tea and bergamot, and closes with a subtle hint of sweet raisin.
