Anyone in Ootmarsum around Easter can't escape the Poaskearls. These eight young men uphold a centuries-old, annual, and somewhat mysterious tradition: the Easter customs of Ootmarsum. This includes fetching wood in the traditional manner by horse and cart, the procession, and the "Vlöggeln" (Flying Feast) through Ootmarsum's historic town center. They are a monument to local history.
It's a great honor for us at Distillery Sculte to commit ourselves to this wonderful tradition . We're doing this by releasing a special limited-edition Twente Whisky Easter Ember exclusively for Easter. This whisky is distilled using a unique recipe and matured in Twente oak.
Characteristic
The nose reveals a fresh Earl Grey aroma, followed by a light smokiness. The flavor blends vanilla with sandalwood and Earl Grey. The finish is a hint of licorice, ending with a Sultana raisin and a touch of smokiness.
